What To See in in Cork

A good place to start is East Cork about a 20 minute drive front Cork City. Just outside Midleton you have Barryscourt Castle open to the public during the summer months and is free of charge. In Midleton you will find the famous Jameson Midleton Distillery where many well know Irish Whiskeys are produced. A tour is available for visitors which includes whiskey sampling. Ten minutes drive from Midleton towards Cobh you will Fota Wildlife Park where a great day out for all the family will be enjoyed. Next stop is Cobh just 5 minutes further along Here you will find The Cobh Heritage Centre a maritime museum with a special feature on The Titanic which paid its last port of call here in Cobh. Before leaving Cobh call to St Coleman's Cathedral where for a small fee you can ring the bells . Back in Cork City don't miss The Shandon Steeple and the Butter Museum on the North side of the city.
